Virtual events are growing in popularity and now that event managers, planners and corporates have seen the benefits of virtual events they are here to stay.
A virtual event is an online space that mimics the environment of a physical event but is accessible to anyone with an invitation and an internet connection.
Something people have struggled to get their head around with virtual events is if and when they should be charging for attendance. There are a few ways to go about it and it doesn’t only have to be through the traditional way of charging for ticket sales (though that will be our first point!). Read on for more ideas.
This past weekend featured an incredible highlight for us with THAT. FUN. FIT. FEST being held completely online through our mobile app and streamed to more than 2800 people around the world tuning in to be a part of the fitness magic.
THAT. FUN. FIT. FEST is a fitness event that brings together friends and families of all ages every month to have the most epic fitness fun around – the vibe created is incredible, and it was amazing to be a part of translating that into a completely online event, especially in this time when fitness and fun are so needed.
Recently we held an event for a conference that ended up with 3 times (!) the amount of anticipated attendees, all able to retrieve their CPD points after attending! The event managed to connect guests from all over South Africa to listen to top speakers in their field, get up to speed with developments in their industry, and stay at the forefront of their profession. The event was filled with expert information, high engagement and interaction from all guests, with Live Polls, Live Q&A, commentary, speaker ratings and ice breakers.
As you may know by now, we are well into providing Virtual Events – through Mobile Event Apps to Event Websites (which we’ve been doing for years!) – but now everything can be even more neatly packaged for an Online Event experience that your attendees will love.
We’ve done a few upgrades to our system to better cater for a better online experience, as follows:
Over the last few months, we have spent time crafting and re-designing the back end of our platform to make it even better and improve the experience for our clients. From the Multiple Events Dashboard to the Email Design functionality, through to the Mobile App Design Module, and the Exportable Reports – it has all had a facelift.
Flock Eventing Platform recently kicked off its Webinar Series for this year with an expert panel discussion around the 12 Top Event Trends of 2021.
Flock’s first webinar proved to be a powerhouse of information for anyone who wants to learn more about holding events in 2021 and beyond.
Hosted by MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) ambassador, Thami Nkadimeng, it was the first of many sessions aimed at businesses and event organisers who are shifting their attention to how to engage with audiences and customers virtually during, and after the COVID-19 pandemic.
With the recent need for Online Events, there have been many questions we thought we’d address here. Please mail us if you have burning questions on Online Events!
One of our most exciting projects at the moment is the Think Big Series by PSG where thought leaders from around South Africa in various industries such as sports, aviation, the tobacco industry, education, and others have come together to discuss some of the most fascinating topics, with some of the most knowledgeable people in the business – award-winning journalist Bruce Whitfield, Herman Mashaba and Jacques Pauw. This is a series made for the public and goes into deep insights on a variety of fronts, so the importance of a smooth-running show is paramount.
Want to make your event greener? Flock can help.
Event organisers and event managers will find that things are a lot simpler when planning their event digitally and having their attendees use our Mobile Conference / Event App. However, what really needs a special mention is just how much greener your event becomes when using our event planning software.
